Syncrowin, an Australian-founded industrial AI company building the AI operating system for critical infrastructure, has closed an oversubscribed A$3 million capital raise backed by US-based venture capital firms with limited partners (LPs) from Amazon, Google, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.
The round was led by New York-based Collide Capital and marks the largest female founder CEO-led raise at this stage in Australia in 2026.
The round
Collide Capital led the round, with participation from San Francisco-based Hustle Fund, POV Ventures, and Australia’s Co-Ventures and Ventari, along with private angels who are exited founders themselves.
The raise is three times larger than the median round size for its stage in Australia, ranking in the top quartile of capital raises this year by deal size. It is the largest raise completed by a female CEO founder at this stage in the country this year.
What the funding is for
The funding will support the continued development and deployment of Syncrowin’s AI operating system across energy and manufacturing, accelerate its core technology roadmap, and grow its AI and engineering teams across Australia and San Francisco.
Syncrowin’s AI operating system applies advanced intelligence to complex industrial systems, helping operators improve efficiency, reliability and output across energy and manufacturing.
“The world is spending trillions planning new industrial capacity, but a significant portion of what we need already exists, it’s just not running intelligently. That’s the opportunity we’re going after, and it’s why investors who understand infrastructure at scale have backed us.”
— Aisshwarya (Ash) Kansakaar, Co-Founder and CEO, Syncrowin
“What drew us to Syncrowin first was the team. Ash and Jai have spent their careers inside the industrial sites and plants they’re now trying to transform, and that shows up in how they build. We’re excited to lead this round.”
— Aaron Samuels, Managing Partner, Collide Capital, New York
Recent milestones
The raise builds on a series of recent global milestones. Syncrowin was recently named a winner of The Initiate Startup Program pitch competition at DTECH, North America’s largest energy and distribution conference, held in San Diego this year, beating 36 US-based startups founded by former OpenAI, Palantir and Stanford alumni.
The Initiate program is designed to identify and back the most credible early-stage companies working on the hardest problems in energy and infrastructure, making the win a strong signal of commercial readiness, not just technical promise.
“The last era of industry was defined by deploying physical assets at extraordinary scale. We believe the next will be defined by the intelligence layered across them and over time, that intelligence becomes as fundamental as the assets themselves.”
— Jaideep Upadhyay, Co-Founder and CTO, Syncrowin
The company has also been selected for the Energy Labs Scale Up program from a global pool of more than 600 applicants across Europe and ANZ, is backed by CSIRO, and was previously supported by the University of Melbourne’s MAP Accelerator.
About the founders
Syncrowin was co-founded by Aisshwarya (Ash) Kansakaar and Jaideep Upadhyay, bringing together deep engineering expertise across mechatronics, mechanical and industrial systems, and artificial intelligence, spanning both the physical infrastructure Syncrowin serves and the intelligence being built to transform it.
Jaideep is a named inventor on multiple patents. Ash is a Forbes Australia 30 Under 30 honouree and was named the 2025 Young Australian of the Year for Victoria. Her path to industrial AI began in Nepal, where growing up without reliable power gave her a firsthand understanding of what failing infrastructure costs communities.
